Inverell

After Dubbo we packed up and low and behold... we made it out early again, could we be getting good at this? Next stop Inverell!

WOW, the road from Dubbo to Inverell was fantastic!  We took the Tourist Drive from Narrabri to Inverell, so worth the time (actually it is quicker than going through Moree). You travel through the mountains and the view is outstanding.

In Inverell we stayed at the Inverell Caravan Park, on recommendation ofsome friends we were visiting.  Such a great place to stay. The park, the grounds and facilites are immaculate and the owners are lovely. This is the only place I have ever stayed where the owners walk around the park in the evening to chat with their guests. Such a great touch that just tops off a fantastic spot. We were so impressed that we have we review coming so make sure you check that part of the website out when we get home.

Our main reason for visiting Inverell was to catch up with some friends that Greg hasn't seen for over 10 years. Time flies when you have kids! Hiya Cathies, it was great to catch up with you all and we really enjoyed Inverell, it is a beautiful place.

The Cathies took Greg and the kids out for a walk while I caught up on work - the joy of running your own business and Uni too. Good news though, I got my first assignment back and got a decent mark so I'm VERY pleased.

I have to download some of Jas' images for you from their walk, Great shots of Copeton Dam. This is one Dam that Canberra would envy!

Inverell was beautiful, and it was great to stop and catch up with friends. Having the local show around was also great so make sure you take advantage of it when ever you travel.

Ok, so pack up from Inverell and off to Gold Coast for my cousins 40th on Saturday night and then into Springbrook National Park.
