We love to show our children the best parts of Australia and on our recent trip to the Blue Mountains, we found an absolute GEM!  The Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens is so much more than gardens, it is a conservation area, a rainforest, a school room and a wonderful place to share the day with your family, soaking up the incredible signature Blue Mountains views.

This beautiful Sanctuary is home to plenty of animals native to the area, including the children’s favourite Luna the albino Echidna!  This is a great place to spend a day with lots of grasslands where you can set up a picnic amongst the local kangaroos and birds.  There is even little games like ring toss and checkers hidden throughout the park to keep the kids on their toes.

This is one location that we all thoroughly enjoyed, no matter what age!  Located at the Eden Marina, the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre is a not for profit community organisation for education and marine research.

Held during the Easter long weekend every year in Canberra, the National Folk Festival is an amazing array of colour and has the most vibrant atmosphere.  Known as a must attend event for anyone in the music world, we thought we would go along and see just how well it would entertain the family.
